FAQ
What is a typical day like on the farm?
Your day starts at 6 AM, waking up to the sounds of the jungle. Work hours are 5 hours per day, 5 days a week, usually in the mornings when it’s cooler. Afternoons are free for rest, exploring the farm, or joining optional learning sessions. Meals are communal, and evenings are relaxed, spent reading, socializing, or unwinding in nature.
Do I need prior experience in farming or permaculture?
Some level of experience in gardening, farming, or permaculture is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn and participate is just as important. If you’re eager to develop hands-on skills and adapt to farm life, you’ll fit right in.
What do the $400 cover?
The fee primarily helps cover food costs, as we provide three farm-to-table meals daily, seven days a week, prepared by our chefs. It also supports the farm’s operations and staff, ensuring a smooth experience for all participants. In addition, it includes accommodation, access to all farm amenities, free yoga classes, and use of the co-working space with Starlink WiFi.
What are the accommodations like?
Participants stay in shared bungalows with up to four people. The bungalows are off-grid, meaning there is no electricity inside, but charging stations are available at the main house. Compost toilets and outdoor showers are shared.
Can I leave the farm on my days off?
Yes! Weekends are free days, and you’re welcome to explore nearby towns, beaches, or nature reserves. Transportation is not provided, but we can offer recommendations on how to get around.
